Goldenberg
Stop Managing Performance.  Start Enabling It.

Edie Goldberg, Ph.D., President, E.L. Goldberg & Associates

Join Edie Goldberg, Ph.D. as she shares new insights and ideas for her just released book – Performance Enablement. In proprietary research conducted with HR professionals she found that only 7% reported that their PM process had achieved its goals, and less than 20% said their process has led to stronger motivation, engagement, and performance.

In the words of Dr. John Boudreau, “Traditional Performance Management approaches are sorely misaligned with the future of work. Dr. Goldberg uses [her] decades of management and research experience to reimagine employee performance — from something to be "managed" or "evaluated," to something to be "enabled." Performance Enablement transforms performance from a transactional compliance exercise into a dynamic process that builds direction, alignment, support, and progress.”

It’s not about new tactics; it's about a paradigm shift. Today’s employees don’t need to be “managed”; they want to be inspired, supported, and developed to perform at their best.

In this session, Edie will share:

  • A new, more humanistic and effective model for unleashing individual and organizational performance that is backed by scientific research.
  • A mindset shift that is needed to innovate how we enable performance in organizations today.
  • Research that demonstrates which practices work (and those that don’t).
  • The latest technological innovations that are improving the practice.
  • Case studies from companies that have shifted their practices in ways that are aligned with how we work today and are delivering value to the company, both in terms of performance and improved employee satisfaction.
